Starting up your device in three steps

Setup is short. What matters is the order you do it in — and where your recovery words end up.

    Download and check the source

    Get the app only from the genuine publisher. Confirm the domain, the publisher signature and the file you downloaded before you install anything.

    Connect and set a PIN

    Plug the device in, follow the prompts on the hardware screen, create a PIN, and write your recovery words on paper — never in a photo, cloud note or chat.

    Fund, then verify every send

    Add accounts, receive a small test amount first, and approve transactions only after the amount and address on the device screen match the app.

Security model

The device screen is the security boundary

A hardware wallet is only as strong as the confirmation step. Suite is built so that step is unavoidable: it can prepare a transaction, it can broadcast a signed one, but it can never produce a valid signature on its own.

Trezor Suite brings hardware wallet management into a single, calm interface. Pair your device once, and the app becomes the bridge between your keys — which never leave the device — and the networks you hold assets on.

Getting started takes a few minutes. Download Suite from the official source, connect your device, and install the firmware it offers. Then create a new wallet or recover an existing one. Your recovery seed is generated on the device screen; write it down on paper and never photograph, upload, or type it into a website.

From there, Suite handles the daily work: tracking portfolio value across accounts, receiving and sending assets, and verifying every transaction on the device display before it is signed. That final check is the point of a hardware wallet. If the amount or destination address on your screen does not match what your computer shows, reject it.

Privacy controls go further. You can route traffic through Tor, connect to your own node, and choose which coins to spend with coin control.

What is Trezor Suite?

Do I need a hardware wallet to use it?

You need the device to sign anything. The app can be explored without one, but moving funds always requires a connected wallet you physically approve.

Where should I download it?

Only from the official publisher, and check the domain and signature before installing. Search results and ads are a common route for look-alike downloads.

Can the app ever see my recovery seed?

No. The seed is created on the device and stays there. Any page or support agent asking you to type your recovery words is a scam — there is no legitimate exception.
